Gate and Parking

  • SLAC Gate: Pass through the gate in the left-hand lane. Be prepared to stop and show the guards your ID and a copy of your Official Invitation, especially if you are going to be arriving in the evening.
  • Parking: Parking is free at SLAC. The Guest House will be to your left when you enter. The guards at the entrance will be glad to give directions at your request. You are welcome to park in the Guest House lot if you will be staying their during your visit. If you cannot find a space in the Guest House lot, try "Parking Lots" shown in this map.

  • If you are visiting from a foreign country, it is a good idea to stop by the International Office to do the necessary paper work:

  • We would be glad to arrange a tour of SLAC if you have never been here before and are interested. However please notify us at least one week in-advance of your visit so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

A Few Practical Things to Remember at SLAC

  • Phone Numbers: (650) 926-xxxx,
    where xxxx is the extension.
  • Using the phone: Dial only the extension while at SLAC for anywhere on the SLAC Campus (this includes calling to/from the Guest House). To call outside, dial 9 first, followed by the number you wish to reach.
  • SLAC Library: is in Central Lab (building 40), 2nd floor.
    SLAC Library has wireless internet.
