General Information
- What:
The SLAC Experimental Seminars series features speakers from all over
the world presenting and discussing the latest results from particle
physics and related experiments. There is overlap with many other
activities at SLAC, including astrophysics, cosmology, accelerator physics,
instrumentation and theory, and speakers may come from any of these
areas.
- Whom:
Open to the entire SLAC and Stanford community. The primary audience
is experimental particle physicists, but quite a few theorists,
astrophysicists, etc. can usually be found in the audience.
- When:
Normally Tuesdays at 12:30pm-1:30pm (50 min talk + 10 min Q&A).
Seminars are sometimes held on Thursdays, and occassionally on other
days or at other times.
- Where:
Normally in the Kavli Auditorium (Bldg. 51), but other locations may
be used.
