test_msg_mt - A host based test suite for the msg_mt constituent

test_msg_mt

Description

Running the test_msg_mt command starts a series of tests of the msg_mt (message, multi-threaded) constituent of package MSG. It is an "envelope" for the embedded system entry point MSG_test().

The test generates copious output, all classifed pass/fail. Note that the last section of the test appears to "hesitate". In this phase, the test is running many tasks in parallel, each task emiting messages at a furious rate (it's called the "shotgun" test). If the output pauses here (usually about ten seconds for each of two shotgun tests), this is normal behaviour.
