Synopsis
Name
file_hdr_prefix
- Prefix a LAT file header to an existing file
Usage
file_hdr_prefix [-c] [-n <name>] [-t <type>] [-k <key>] [-s <timestamp>] <in_file> <out_file>
Description
This utility prefixes a LAT file header onto an already existing file. The command line options allow the user to set the values for some of the header members. The -c option, if present, sets the header compression flag. Otherwise, the flag is left cleared. If the -t or -k options are given, the header type and key members are set to the values provided. Otherwise, these members are set to value of '-1'. The -n option allows the user to provide a file name to be included in the header. Only the first 8 characters are used, and if less than 8 characters, the remainder of the header name is padded with space characters. If no name is specified, then the value ' ' is inserted into the header. If the -s option is given, then the provided timestamp value is used inside the file header. Otherwise, the timestamp value is provided automatically based on the host clock at the time this program is run.
