Detailed Description

Defines the structure controlling the delivery schedule of the GRB suspect, confirmation, update and closeout messages.

This layouts of the structure of the parameters used to schedule the delivery of the various GRB messages. These messages are

• GRB suspected. This one message is meant to be issued as soon as possible after one is reasonably sure that a GRB has been spotted.

• GRB update. There can be up to 10 of these messages, although the current code imposes no limit. These are meant to be used to continuously update the parameters of the GRB as more statistics are gathered

• GRB confirmation. This one message is meant to be issued as soons as one is confident enough to believe that GRB candidate is worthy of requesting a repoint of the LAT. Effectively this message is that repoint request. If may be issued at anytime between the GRB suspected message and the GRB closeout message. Currently the criteria is based simply on the count of gammas in the list. This is likely too simplistic, but no one had a better idea. The duration of the ARR is also specified when issuing this message. Note that this is not part of the GRB suspected/update/closeout alert message. These audience for these messages ultimately is the ground. The spacecraft is the target of this message.

• GRB closeout. This one message is meant to be issued when the GRB is deemed over.
