Mission Statement
The Workshop provides a periodic forum for national laboratories to present and discuss current technological advancements, operability, and maintenance experience of large cryogenic plant facilities which support the physics research community.
The workshop topics are intended to include the latest practical engineering and operational management applications and techniques that have been found to enhance operational costs, reliability, and flexibility.
This includes topics such as establishing the optimal refrigeration design cycle and operating design points; utility management; manpower scheduling; plant control philosophy and automation; short and long term maintenance scheduling; refrigerant loss detection and control; system contamination; component reliability; and equipment technical performance issues. Discussions of current technical problems and possible solutions are encouraged.
