|Richard Edward (Dick) Taylor,
professor emeritus of physics at Stanford University and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, was an early user of the 2-mile-long
linear accelerator at SLAC and carried out experiments that earned him and his colleagues from MIT the 1990 Nobel Prize in Physics.
A towering figure, both physically and professionally, Dick was an integral part of life at SLAC for decades...
As a way of celebrating and remembering him, we share a collection of "Dick Taylor
Stories," sometimes funny, serious, casual, profound... or somewhere in between.
