SPEAR Beam Integrals (Signals and Reset Procedure)

The following signals are inputs into the BEAMINT program (BEAMINT.C running in the SPEAR control system):

·        SPEAR:State

·        SPEAR:BeamCurrAvg1S

·        OrbInt:RingStopState

·        BL01:OpenState

·        BL02:OpenState

·        BL03:OpenState

·        BL04:OpenState

·        BL05:OpenState

·        BL06:OpenState

·        BL07:OpenState

·        BL08:OpenState

·        BL09:OpenState

·        BL10:OpenState

·        BL11:OpenState

·        BL12:OpenState

·        BL13:OpenState

The following integrated beam currents are generated and updated by the BEAMINT program in the spr:BI1/XX1 structure:

·        BI1/XX1(1)        integrated total current (SPEAR total)

·        BI1/XX1(2)        integrated run current

·        BI1/XX1(3)        integrated day current

·        BI1/XX1(4)        integrated fill current

·

·        BI1/XX1(6)        integrated total current (BEAMS mode)

·        BI1/XX1(7)        integrated run current (BEAMS mode)

·        BI1/XX1(8)        integrated day current (BEAMS mode)

·        BI1/XX1(9)        integrated fill current (BEAMS mode)

·

·        BI1/XX1(11-30)             integrated beamline total current (BL01-BL20)

·        BI1/XX1(31-50)             integrated beamline run current (BL01-BL20)

Resetting the beam integrals

  1. STOP the BEAMINT program, process “BEAMINT” running in the SPEAR control system

  1. Using interactive CA tools, set the following parameters to ZERO.

·      spr:BI1/XX1(2)

·      spr:BI1/XX1(3)

·      spr:BI1/XX1(4)

·

·      spr:BI1/XX1(7)

·      spr:BI1/XX1(8)

·      spr:BI1/XX1(9)

·

·      spr:BI1/XX1(31-50)

  1. Start the BEAMINT program.

  2. Check to numbers going up from ZERO.
