Here is how you can perform basic tests.
Current -> Database instance: SLACPROD; hostname: slac-oracle02 Move to -> Database instance: DMZTEST: hostname: slac-oracle02-test (on DMZDBACCESS)
Use database aidaprod hosted on slacprod for testing. The connection should work on all nodes (DMZ, controls private networks for LCLS and FACET).
On lcls-srv01: 1) With Oracle wallet [softegr@lcls-srv01 ~ ]$ printenv TNS_ADMIN /usr/local/lcls/tools/oracle/wallets/aidaprod [softegr@lcls-srv01 ~ ]$ sqlplus /@slacprod ... SQL> exit 2) Without Oracle walle getPwd aidaprod [softegr@lcls-srv01 ~ ]$ sqlplus aidaprod@slacprod (enter password from getPwd)
On mccas0: 1) With Oracle wallet [laci@mccas0 ~]$ printenv TNS_ADMIN /afs/slac/g/lcls/tools/oracle/wallets/aidaprod [laci@mccas0 ~]$ sqlplus /@slacprod ... SQL> exit 2) Without Oracle wallet getPwd aidaprod [laci@mccas0 ~]$ sqlplus aidaprod@slacprod (enter password from getPwd)
- Use aidaprod hosted on dmztest for testing. The connection should work on all nodes (DMZ, controls private networks for LCLS and FACET), if the network configuration is preserved for the migration.
1) With Oracle wallet [softegr@lcls-srv01 ~ ]$ printenv TNS_ADMIN /usr/local/lcls/tools/oracle/wallets/aidaprod [softegr@lcls-srv01 ~ ]$ sqlplus /@dmztest 2) Without Oracle walle getPwd aidaprod [softegr@lcls-srv01 ~ ]$ sqlplus aidaprod@dmztest (enter password from getPwd)
On mccas0: 1) With Oracle wallet [laci@mccas0 ~]$ printenv TNS_ADMIN /afs/slac/g/lcls/tools/oracle/wallets/aidaprod [laci@mccas0 ~]$ sqlplus /@dmztest 2) Without Oracle wallet getPwd aidaprod [laci@mccas0 ~]$ sqlplus aidaprod@dmztest (enter password from getPwd) |
