• The first new style, low impedance kicker chamber was (finally!) installed in the SDR Extraction Kicker. Operated succesfully during last PEP-II run.

• Manufacture of 7 new chambers should be completed this month.
• We no longer make the old style chambers.
• Still have 2 old style chambers as spares (one is installed in the last remaining magnet), plus one used magnet with chamber.
• First of the new run of magnets also due this month.

Chamber Manufacture

• Final braze assembly of 7 new chambers due for completion this month.
• Have all parts available for an additional 12 chambers. Recommend putting them together before we forget how to or lose them.
• Ongoing problems with vendors for ceramic tube and for metallization of ceramic.
• Had to revise gap ring design during installation of first chamber because adjacent matching chambers are non-standard.

Magnets

• not officially part of the project, but are critical spares items.
• We have purchased long-lead items for 8 new magnets and are planning to construct 4 magnets in the short term.
• The first EKM is due for completion this month
• New magnets and new chambers will ideally be tested as sets as they become available.

Interlocks

• Engineering of the magnet safety shields and mounts for the split toroids has been redone and we plan to make 8 of these.

• Account closed. Remaining work to be completed under the operations budget.
• Significant fraction of budget was used on making old-style chambers to replace those in operation, while we were waiting for the new chamber.
