Multi-parameter optimization used for RFQ parameter choice is discussed. A modern computer power makes impossible the direct solution when each cell parameters are used as control ones and full-scale beam simulation by PIC models are performed. A simplified model for optimization is proposed as well as a simplified model for space charge-dominated beam simulation. It gives a possibility for sharp reduction of control point number and for decreasing of time needed for one version calculation. The different optimization criteria are discussed.
