The status of ground motion investigations and the methods of its modeling are presented in this paper. Various components of ground motion, such as wave-like motion, diffusive motion, systematic motion, as well as the methods of their modeling are discussed. The mathematical spectral approach, which allows to obtain quantitative predictions of the ground motion influence on a linear collider, is reviewed and various examples of its application to the NLC linear collider are given.
