Dennis is working closely with the developers to try and get it to work. No success so far despite re-installing, cleaning out etc. No estimated time.
Netscape 3.01 on Unix goes into a loop (it may stick on screen but freeze or may simply disappear) on the CPU.
Mike Kelsey asked to add some functions to the REXX cgi-lib. Les added his functions and updated the documentation.
John has identified that the latest CERN server will cause problems, so it will not be installed.
Joan solicited information from early SLAC Web users/supporters on the early history of the Web.
Tony talked to Jon Bergman to get started on providing input to the help desk on how the Web servers work, and what to look for to ascertain that things are/or are not working.
The Web server is still on VM, however, the master databases are now on UNIX. It is hoped to get the server moved over this summer.
Tony updated the security page. Tony added a disclaimer saying that the new policy has not been implemented yet. Implementing the policy is on Edgar's plate. Joan said Edgar is tied up with providing UNIX access to the VM archives.
Les Cottrell
