Measurements of R = sigmaL/sigmaT for 0.03 < x < 0.1 and Fit to World Data

Abstract

Measurements were made at SLAC of the cross section for scattering 29 GeV electrons from carbon at a laboratory angle of $4.5^\circ$, corresponding to $0.03(Equations render on Windows, Mac OS, AIX, Linux, Solaris, and IRIX with the techexplorer plug-in.)

Notes

The PDF version of this document was distilled from a PostScript file probably created from LaTeX source which used Type 3 fonts. The resultant PDF may be unreadable on the screen at the default viewing magnification (fonts will appear bitmapped, jagged), though the type will be legible at higher magnifications.

Despite the Type 3 font problems on screen, the PDF file will print without problems; likewise, the onscreen text is searchable and selectable.
