First in the Web, But Where are the Pieces?
Abstract
This paper, originally prepared for presentation at the Society of
American Archivists 1997 Annual Meeting session, "Managing
Organizational Records on the World-Wide Web: Making a Start,"
discusses initial efforts to identify and preserve the history and
archival record of the World Wide Web at the Stanford Linear Accelerator
Center -- the first Web site in the United States.
