Abstract:
- A brief review on the infrared concepts and photodetectors will
be summarized. Emission of infrared photons has been observed in an
ionization chamber filled with standard gases and some results are
reported. Light produced by the electron drifting in the gaseous media
has also been observed. Results are presented as a function of the
electric drift field.
