The SLAC Library Advisory Committee is comprised of representatives drawn from the major research communities at SLAC. The Committee meets quarterly. The Chair and committee members are appointed [for a three-year term] by the Chair of the SLAC Faculty.
The SLAC Library Advisory Committee assists the Library in supporting its central role in the intellectual life and mission of the Laboratory.
The charge of the committee is to:
- Advise the Library on its mission and strategic plans.
- Represent teaching and research interests as they relate to the Library.
- Advise the Library on collections, facilities, services, policies, and initiatives.
- Communicate the Library’s goals, services and needs to both their constituencies and to the broader SLAC community.
