Biographical Information

The SLAC Archives and History Office has been able to locate very little information about Richard Muffley. He was an early staff member of the laboratory, and took over 2600 photographs of the site and staff, many of which are iconic images of the lab and its activities.

Archival Materials

Richard "Dick" Muffley papers held by the SLAC Archives and History Office are currently being processed, and are not yet open for research. SLAC staff may access descriptions of Muffley Papers held by the Archives. Muffley photographs of SLAC are available on the Stanford University SALLIE all-image server, or from the SLAC Archives and History Office Photoindex database.
