Scalability
A solution/method is scalable if it works for large numbers as well as small. E.G. The phone system
- Similar problems exist for probability of failure of various components and wiring schemes. E.g. thinwire Ethernet using daisy-chained connectors - probability of failure increases with each new connection.
- The network design must try to avoid significant decrease in reliability as the network size increases.
- Obviously, this as a solution to fitting more onto a page does NOT scale
