Information on the NAT Bridge Data Collection

The bridge data collection is driven by a crontab entry in /usr/local/netdata/crontabs/cronlist.peleus*. It is performed once an hour. Since the list of active bridges is dynamic, it is fetched from CANDO at various times during the day and the data collection program uses this list /usr/local/netdata/sql.data/eb.nodes* to know what nodes to collect data from. Configuration* information, fetched from the bridges at 8:15am daily is also available.

Currently the data is collected and graphed once an hour. These graphs appear under "today".

The analysis for the tabular reports and graphs for yesterday, weekly, and fortnightly are produced between 3 and 8 am daily.

In the analysis, certain data values which exceed thresholds are flagged as alerts, and are extracted for the Daily Summaries.

The following are programs used to generate the bridge stats:

/usr/local/netdata/bridges/br2html
This script converts the daily bridge report to html for World Wide Web display

/usr/local/netdata/bridges/ckparam
This script checks the parameters stored in the bridges.

/usr/local/netdata/bridges/ckrev
This script checks the firmware revisions of the bridges.

/usr/local/netdata/bridges/fetch_ifs
This script fetches the bridge stats. It is currently run hourly.
