If there is no information in the Mulitmedia Control regarding
the Sentinel driver as shown above then the Sentinel driver was not installed
properly probably due to a parallel port mis-configuration. Reboot
the computer and enter BIOS to set the parallel port chracteristics, using
settings shown above if possible. Reload the Sentinel drivers from
the Solid Edge CD-ROM ..\ResKit\Hardware Keys\Win_nt\setupx86.exe.
Then reboot, check the status of the Flex-LM product, and review the Flex-LM
Debug.log file. Done.
REM This is a batch file
that processes the RTPatch data for a Solid Edge service pack installation
patch.exe -IGNOREMISSING
-MESSAGE -SUBDIRSEARCH -NOUNDO -PATHSEARCH -VERBOSE -BACKUP:D:\temp "c:\program
files\solid edge\program" patch.rtp
pause
REM End Batch file
Note: If you use a drive letter other than D: in step 2
make sure the "-BACKUP:D:\Temp" line in your batch file references
the same drive. This is actually what makes it all work.
1. Run "setup.exe -r" from the command prompt. A file named "C:\Winnt\setup.iss"
will be created with the selections made during the actual run.
2. Run "setup.exe -s f1c:\winnt\setup.exe" to run a silent installation.
Note: After the -s option, the absolute path to the *.iss filename MUST
begin with "f1".
