17.1 MODULE SPECIFICATIONS

17.1.1 Module width: Single.

17.1.2 Number of output channels: 32 (numbered 0 through 31).

17.1.3 Output voltage levels: 0V (ground), +1VDC, +3VDC, +5VDC (Vcc), +24VDC (derived from the module under test), +30VDC, -30VDC, +60V pulsed.

17.1.4 Latching: All are outputs latched, except that 60 volt pulsed outputs reconnect to ground following the 1 second pulse period.

17.1.5 Response time: 100 microseconds maximum from Dataway to output.

17.1.6 CAMAC codes, X and Q responses:

17.1.6.1 Read functions - o F0A0: Read selected drives 0-15. X=Q=1. o F0A1: Read selected drives 16-31. X=Q=1. o F1A0: Read control and status. X=Q=1. R1 =1= C1 True R2 =1= C2 True R3 =1= C3 True R4 =1= +60 Volts pulse triggered (selected) R5 =1= +60 Volts pulse present R6 =1= +60 Volts not low R7 =1= +60 Volts not high R8 =1= +60 Volts not OK R9 =1= M1 = Return rail ground selected R10 =1= M2 = Signal rail ground selected R11 =1= M3 = +1 Volt selected R12 =1= M4 = +3 Volts selected R13 =1= M5 = +5 Volts (Vcc) selected R14 =1= M6 = +24 Volts selected (from the Isolated Digital Input Module) R15 =1= M7 = +30 Volts selected R16 =1= M8 = -30 Volts selected

17.1.6.2 Write Functions - o F16A0: Write select drives 0-15. X=Q=1. o F16A1: Write select drives 16-31. X=Q=1. o F17A0: Write voltage control. X=Q=1. Uses 3 bits only; W1, W2, and W3, equivalent to C0, C1, and C2. Bits W4 through W24 are ignored. The W1-W3 line octal valus determines the module output Voltage as follows: 0: 0 Volts (both signal and return grounded) 1: +1 Volts (Reference) 2: +3 Volts (Reference) 3: +5 Volts (Vcc) 4: J1&2-C9 (+24 from module under test) 5: +30 Volts (+24 if no external supply) 6: -30 Volts (-24 if no external supply) 7: +60 Volt pulse (+24 pulse if no external 60 Volt supply) Note: The +60 Volt signal is internally limited to a one (1) second pulse, the signal line is grounded after the pulse period

17.1.6.3 Command functions - F27A0: Test +60 Volt supply present. X=1, Q=1 if 60.7V < Vin <

64.7V.

17.1.6.4 Other X and Q responses: - X=Q=0 for all other codes and conditions.

17.1.6.5 C, Z, and I: - C, or Z, with S2 will clear the module. I has no effect on this module.

17.1.7 CAMAC speed: the module will respond to all CAMAC cycles as defined in IEEE Standard 583-1978

17.1.8 Power Required: o + 6 Volts, 700 milliAmps typical, 900 milliAmps maximum. o +24 Volts, 60 milliAmps typical, 320 milliAmps (maximum, when no +62 Volts); o +62 Volts (external input), 40 milliAmps typical, 700 milliAmps maximum (if all 32 channels are pulsed together).

17.1.9 Protection: The +6, +24 and +60 Volt lines are each protected with a fuse consisting of a single strand of #36 tinned copper wire. Fusing current is about 3.5 Amps.
