VxWorks Meeting Note - December 1, 2000 ----------------------------------------- The WindRiver PEPII Project License #2487, owned by the Software Controls Group will be converted to a new project licensed called The PEPII license currently has BSP support for the 68K Architecture. PowerPC Architecture will be added for NLCTA RF. 1) Len Moss will be setting up the vxworks mailing list, vxworks-l 2) SCS person will work primarily with Kristi Luchini to setup afs common area for vxworks and Tornado tools (version 1.0.1 and 2.0). Ric Claus and Till Strauman will also be available to at least review and/or request changes to better suit the needs of all of the users. 4) The new "Software Controls Engneering" license from WindRiver will include the following: Development Environment: --------------------------- 10 seats on the 68K Architecture with 1 seat Tornado Professional, 9 seats Tornado Standard. 5 seats on the PPC Architecture with 1 seat Tornado Professional, 4 seats Tornado Standard. OEM Project License: ---------------------- 68K Architecture which includes the following BSP's mvme166 mvme167 mvme177 niCpu030 - vxw5.3.1 only PowerPC Architecture which incldues the following BPS's mvme2700 mvme2600 (for mvme2304 used by R.Claus) 5) One Tornado License (68K and PowerPC) will be placed on the pepii network, possibly the node netmon-pep which can see (r/w) afs space and the pepii subnet. The remaining licenses will be placed on a host that has access to afs. Currently, for the controls group this is the node slcsun1. However, a specific host where the remaining licenses will reside was not determined. These license can however be distributed onto different host as needed. 6) Kristi will start a VxWorks web page. 7) Find out from WindRiver how many people can be listed on the technical support list? Is this number tied to the number of license seats? If, so can SLAC pay a fee to add people to our technical support list. If yes, what will this cost?
