This web page describes how to patch our SCCS maintained Servers.  We have options in the taylor.opts file to control what taylor does to our servers.  We have added Linux_Kernel=leavealone to have complete control on when our servers get patched and rebooted.

  1. To install and enable the latest kernel:
    1. Comment out the line linux_kernel=leavealone in /etc/taylor.opts
    2. Run:     sudo /afs/slac/package/taylor/prod/taylor everything
    3. uncomment the line linux_kernel=leavealone in /etc/taylor.opts
    4. reboot
