The Linux sunrays use Kiosktool to setup kiosk accounts.  I use sunsrv03 at the primary server to run kiosktool.  The program "kiosktool" can be found unders "System Tools" - "Kiosk Admin Tool."  This program allows you to setup profiles and then assign users to these profiles.  We have chosen to allow the users access to icons only and not run any program on the sunray servers themselves.

When you have created your profiles and assigned users, when you exit, Kiosktool will ask to copy the data over to sunsrv02. Answer yes to this and provide the root password when prompted.  This has worked fairly well so far, but here are some  important files to check if you run into difficulty:

The two files below don't get copied over to sunsrv02 during the Kiosktool update.  So if you make a new profile or create a new user please check these two files on sunsrv02

/etc/kderc: (This file associates the user with the profile directories)
