This web page will describe how to see who is in a netgroup

SCCS uses netgroups to group individuals into groups for login.  In the /etc/passwd file you will see something like:

+@u-lcls-uwd
+@u-scs-staff

to see who is in the u-lcls-uwd netgroup:

  • ypmatch u-lcls-uwd netgroup
    • [brobeck@mcclogin ~]$ ypmatch u-lcls-uwd netgroup
      (-,brobeck,) (-,divekar,) (-,jingchen,)

You can also search results (show all netgroups and grep for brobeck)

  • ypcat -k netgroup | grep brobeck

EX)

[brobeck@mcclogin ~]$ ypcat -k netgroup | grep brobeck | awk '{print $1}'
u-rhel6-testers
u-slcs
u-mccora
u-opi00gtw1
h-mccelog
u-spear-servers
u-lcls-uwd
