From: SLCW45::RON "Ron Chestnut" 14-OCT-1998 13:03:22.08 To: tmh CC: luchini, ron Subj: Looking into Injection Toroid data into BIC Tom, Kristi's been looking at various options, and I've answered her clarifying questions with the following assumptions: 1) The PCM (toroid) module puts out a 0 to +10 volt signal, which represents the data AFTER all the pedestal subtraction and calibration. 2) The gating pulse will be magically delivered somehow. 3) A 12-bit ADC will be enough. 4) It needn't be a fast ADC, since the signal is longish (100 microseconds??). 5) The LER and HER are completely seperate, both signal and gating pulse. If these assumptions are incorrect, please let us know who's really on first. /Ron
