The hardware configuration is:
Periodic backups of all user areas on this machine will be made to the
tape drive attached to slcsun2, on demand. These tapes will be stored
in the SLC tape repository.

Periodic backups of all user areas on this machine will be made to the
tape drive attached to slcsun1, on demand. These tapes will be stored
in the SLC tape repository.

slcsun1 is a Sun SparcStation 5.
The hardware configuration is:
Complete backups of the user area on this machine are made on all
weekdays. The backup system is locally developed, consisting of a
cron-started shell script using tar to do complete backups to tape.
The tape rotation sequence is monthly, with one tape per month day.
Monthly snapshots of the backups are retained, by saving the tape made
on the first Monday of each month.
