Vacuum Channel PVs

If a vacuum pump is off (as indicated by TRS8:SYS:VPS0xy:USE), then the severities of the corresponding value and status PVs for that pump should always show as NO_ALARM on the vacuum displays. If the pump is working, then the actual value and status severities should be shown. A set of soft channels were created for this purpose.

The channels containing actual PV data are:

• VACM
• VACMSTAT
• VACMSTATINP

The corresponding soft channels used to display severities depending on USE are:

• VACMDL
• VACMSTATD
• VACMSTATINPD

How these are used:

• Displays:
  • Severities (colored border around values): soft channels
  • Values: actual channels
• Summary PVs: soft channels
• ALH: soft channels
• Archiver: actual channels
