NLCTA and NLC 8-Pack PV Naming Convention
This page contains the EPICS database Process Variable (PV) naming convention used for the NLCTA and NLC 8-Pack RF control systems. This convention, if implemented, allows grouping of PV names by station, subsystem, and quantity based solely on the name. This grouping is then used by tools such as the archive browser to help the user select channel names.See SLC Database Server for the MCC SLC database PV naming convention. See also PEPII Naming Convention.
See EPICS Naming Convention for general naming conventions.
PV name = SYS:SUBS:DETAIL:QTY
where:SYS = station or system
SUBS = subsystem
- TRS0 = NLCTA RF Station 0
- TRS1 = NLCTA RF Station 1
- TRS2 = NLCTA RF Station 2
- TRS8 = NLC 8-Pack
- TRP1 = NLCTA RF High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS) 1
- TRP2 = NLCTA RF HVPS 2
