Parentheses

Parentheses are only permitted around conjunctions. So, since the conjunction operator (&) has higher precedence than disjunction (|), parentheses cannot be used to override the precedence of conjunction and disjunction in expressions. In other words, parentheses can only be used to add documentary clarity to an algorithm, rather than change its function.
