CMLOG is a distributed message logging system that allows applications to
log messages to centralized database files, and has a Motif browser to view
either current logging data in real time or historical data in the
database.
1. What's new in this version?
The Cmlog client library and daemon have been ported to ni 68000
board (Ron MacKenzie at SLAC) and to PC 486 board (Peregrine M. McGehee
from LEDA project at LANL) running vxworks.
The client library
can also be compiled into a thread safe library on solaris
(DAQ group at Jefferson Lab).
The database can now reside in
multiple directories.
A unix utility called cmlogMsg that can log
arbitrary messages into cmlog system.
Finally updated documentation has been included.
