-
Throttling of "host" tag
Because of the way that CMLOG uses certain default tags, tagging of the "host" tag in setting throttles will not necessarily work properly.
Please avoid using the tag "host" when setting throttles.
-
Messages matching multiple, yet different throttles
When a message is to be filtered, it is checked against all throttles for a match. If
any of the throttles get triggered into filtering the message, the message is filtered.
-
Duplicate throttles are allowed
Throttles with the exact same tag and value are allowed; and this may lead to unexpected or
undesired behavior. Please refer to the section on how to set throttle values.
-
Default throttle behavior is to match on substrings
When a throttle is set against a string value, the default behavior is to search the string value of
that tag for any occurrence of the value in the throttle. With that in mind, please set
throttle values wisely(refer to the section on how to set throttle values
for more detailed instructions).

Number of matching significant figures for floats and doubles
For the float and double type, the filter will match two floats or doubles if they are of matching value for up to 5
significant digits. So, 1.00001 will match 1.00001 and 1.000011, but not 1.00000.
