CHARTER FOR
ACCELERATOR RESEARCH DEPARTMENT-A
SAFETY COMMITTEE

Purpose:

Accelerator Research Department-A Safety Committee is organized to address fundamental safety and health issues associated with departmental operation. The various roles within the Safety Committee reflect specialization among committee members. It affords the reader a vehicle of more direct contact with an expert regarding a specific departmental safety issue.

Scope:

Accelerator Research Department-A Safety Committee is chartered with continuous self assessment regarding:
    1. Safe operation of the ARDA department.
    2. Correction of safety deficiencies within the ARDA department.
    3. Coordination with the Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) Division regarding correction of safety deficiencies that cannot be handled internally.

The Safety Committee organization chart is displayed on the bulletin board located in ARDA's Department Office, Room 106A of the A&E Building.
