Overview
What webpage would be complete without images? Throw some pizzazz on that boring text-filled report with a splash of color! With NetObjects, it’s a piece of cake to add a picture to a webpage. Point, click, pick your image, and with maybe a little properties palette work thrown into the mix, you’re finished!
Adding or Changing a Picture
- Change to Page View, Page Design tab selected.
- On the standard toolbar, select the picture tool.
- In the editing window, click where you want the upper left corner of your image placed.
- A Picture File Open dialogue appears. Find and open the image you want to add. IMPORTANT: if the image you want is not in the Assets folder of your working folder, please move or copy the image into the Assets folder before you use the image in a webpage.
- Poof! The image is in place. By default, the image will not stretch and is aligned top-left. To center, to stretch, or otherwise manipulate the image, use the properties palette.
- What if you want to use a different image? Note in the properties pallette, with the general tab selected, there is the selected image’s file path plus a Browse... button. Simply click Browse... to bring up the Picture File Open dialogue and select a new image.
- If you have just added a new image, one that was not used in any other page in the website, remember to add the image to the Assets folder in SourceSafe.
