Overview
Hotspots are transparent shapes that you place over images. By assigning hyperlinks to hotspots, you can have different parts of an image link to different webpages, rather than having the whole image link to only one page.
Adding and Removing Hotspots Hotspots can only be created over existing images
- Select the hotspot tool from the standard toolbar. Note that if you click and hold your mouse over the tool, you can choose the shape of the hotspot. By default, the shape is a rectangle.
- With the hotspot tool selected, move your cursor over an image. Click and drag to create a shape; this is the area covered by the new hotspot.
- As soon as you release the mouse button, a hyperlink dialogue appears. Select the link that you want. Refer to the hyperlink page for more details on link selection.
- To remove a hotspot, use the select tool to select the transparent shape with the grey outline. Then just delete using the Delete key, Edit->Clear, or by right-clicking and selecting delete.
