GUN CATHODE CESIATION PROCEDURES AT THE ITF

1. Adjust gun voltage to -2 kV and turn on the cesiator bias power supply to +2 kV
2. Turn on cesiator, push “start” and “on”, and “D/C reset”.
3. Go to “corr plot panel”, then

- Push F8

- Select “Real_time_plot_loop”

- Push “execute”

- Type 512 and

- Type “asts cl01 gun_cath data”

4. Turn on diode laser on optics bench
5. Increase cesiator current

- 2 A and wait for 15 s

- 3 A and wait for 15 s

- 4 A and wait until photocurrent becomes flat (usually takes 4-7 minutes)

6. Push “ctrl+c” when the photocurrent becomes flat
7. Print it out

- Go to “print ctrl panel”

- Go to “prntrs (2) panel”

- Go to “hpcryo-Bg006 HP4100”

- Change magnify in “printed graph magnify” to 0.5

8. or save it as a file in ITF Elog
