HER B1/B2Nor powers half of the HER arc dipoles (arcs 1,9, and 11).
The HER has 6 arcs, each with 32 dipoles.
The dipoles in arcs 3,5 and 7 are all powered in series by one power supply (B1/B2Sou). The dipoles in arcs 1,9 and 11 are all powered in series by another power supply (B1/B2Nor).
The HER arc dipoles are all the same except for two magnets on either side of straight 2. These magnets have "backleg" power supplies (a separate electrical circuit in addition to the main dipole circuit used to vary the field strength). This backleg scheme is used as part of the HER bending scheme for the collision IR. The first and fifth magnets outbaord of IR2 in arcs 1 and 3 (PR02 6122,6162,9012,9052) have these backleg windings, and all four backlegs are powered in series.
