Turner's 1-6 PAU calibration procedure

    To calibrate 1-6 PAU:
  1. Do a Klys ENLD FTP (LI01 KLYS PANEL, select 1-6, DIAGNOSTIC PANEL, KLYS EGAIN FTP)
  2. Print it. You want the cursor value.
  3. Max out the 1-6 AMPL's (Second KLYS INDEX, 1-6 PULSED AMPLs, 611, 613, 614 to their upper limits)
  4. Select AMPL 611.
  5. Do a saturation FTP for 1-6 (LI01 KLYS PANEL)
  6. Raise the drive of 1-6 so the cursor falls just below the knee of the saturation curve (ENTER DRIVE % to just to the left of where the curve starts to level off).
  7. From the CRR application Panel, go to Select ENERGY VERNER.
  8. SETUP VERNER KLYS --> enter "LI01 61" for the sampled variable name and "11" for the beamcode for PAU.
  9. START AUTO ACQ. (takes about 10 minutes)
  10. ANALYZ KLYS DATA. If it looks reasonable (i.e. the E_NOLOAD goes up to 280 MeV and the curve fits nicely), ACCEPT ENERGY POLY.
  11. Knob the 1-6 AMPL's down, checking them against ENLD FTP's for 1-6, until the cursor value is close to what it was originally.
