Workshop on New Kinds of Positron Sources for Linear Colliders

04February, 1997

When: March 4-7, 1997
Where: Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Stanford, CA 94309
Purpose: Status and perspectives on the studies of new kinds of positron sources for linear colliders.
Theme: The Workshop will emphasize new developments in positron sources (polarized and unpolarized) dedicated to linear colliders (LCs). We will start with a presentation of a conventional source matched to a linear collider (i.e. SLC source). A general presentation of all the positron sources considered in the design of the linear collider projects will also be given. The desirability of an ongoing collaboration for positron sources for future colliders will be discussed.

See the tenative program and schedule.

Style: The Workshop will emphasise informal working groups with a small number of oral presentations that will empahsize the main themes of the Workshop.
Proceedings: See Guidelines for Authors and Working Group Leaders.
Pre-registration: The Workshop is by invitation only. If you are interested in attending, please fill out and send in by fax or email the pre-registration form. Travel and housing information will be sent with formal invitations to all invitees.

The pre-registration materials are available in the plain text, PDF* and Postscript formats.

Organizing Committee: Robert Chehab (Orsay) and Jym Clendenin (SLAC)
Registration Fee: $100.00. See instructions for Payment of Registration Fee.
Final report: All transparencies and summaries of the working groups will be published as a SLAC Report.
