While lattice computations along with B-factories have provided an important test of the CKM-paradigm, there are good reasons now to think that extremely precise tests may well be needed to search for BSM-CP-odd phase(s) in B-physics. This means we need: 1) very large data samples of clean B's, and 2) extraction of unitarity triangle (UT) with essentially "zero" theory error. On another front, technical progress with regard to maintenance of exact chiral symmetry on the lattice could provide vital input for extracting UT from K-physics alone and offer additional avenue for the search for BSM phases(s).
