The CDF detectors has undergone major upgrades from 1997-2001 to be ready for Tevatron Run II. The Run II data taking period has begun in 2002. The expectation is to take 2 fb-1 of data in Run IIa (2002-2005). The most relevant upgrades for B physics at CDF are the trigger system, the new tracking system and the new data acquisition. The presentation will review the performance of the accelerator and of the CDF detectors in the early phase of Run II as well as the first results in the field of charm and beauty physics obtained from the analyses of the first 70 pb-1 of data. An outlook detailing the aims in the near term future is also given.
