Tagging Conventions. Tag formats should include a place for three numbers (major release number, minor release number, and patch number) and some string to indicate the scope of the tag.

Tag names for individual packages should follow the CMT format where the three numbers are prefaced by v, r, and p (for version, revision and patch), e.g. v1r5p1.

Note: If there is a patch number in a GlastRelease, ScienceTools, or EngineeringModel checkout package , it indicates that one of the constituent packages has been branched.
