ACD on-orbit calibrations
Check of main calibrations
Measure the Pedestals, MIP peaks, Veto and CNO thresholds, all in units of MIPs.
Calibrations Products used in Making Configurations
Pedestals [Configuration, Reconstruction, Simulation]
Measure the electronics baseline signal (without any physics event) in each pmt.
Electronics Gain (aka MIP peaks) [Configuration, Reconstruction, Simulation]
Measure signal for normally incident Minimum Ionizing Particles (MIP)s
Measure the signal size for which pmt veto signal starts to fire
Relate the veto threshold set points to the front end electronics setttings
High Range Pedestals [Configuration, Reconstruction, Simulation]
Measure the electronics baseline signal (without any physics event) in each pmt in the high range readout
Carbon Peak calibration [Configuration, Reconstruction, Simulation]
Measure signal for normally incident Carbon ions
Measure the signal size for which pmt CNO signal starts to fire
Relate the CNO threshold set points to the front end electronics setttings
Calibrations Products Used Only in Offline Analysis and Simulation
Used to correct pedestal bounce associated with readout of previous event
Used to set signal scale for event read out high range (which is very non-linear)
Calibrations Products Used Only in Simulation
Used to model light attenuation across length of ribbons
Used to model PHA values in simulation
