ACD MIP calibrations

Purpose and use

To measure the PHA signal for a Minimum Ionizing Particle (MIP) at normal incidence for each PMT. This calibration is used in the configuration system to set MIP scale for the veto thresholds. This calibration is used in reconstruction to express the raw PHA values in terms of MIP equivalent signals and eventually in MeV. This calibration is used in simulation to provide realistic PHA values.

Required inputs

2000 or more MIPs per tile. Generally one run in nomSciOps configuration. Needs a good pedestal calibration.
