Attending: Peter Bosted, Keith Griffioen, Don Crabb, Steve Rock E161: heating calculations in progress. Need to get code from Spencer Klein, to get flux of photons below 500 MeV accurately, at least from ordinary brem. Also, need to add magnetic field. Students are getting pumps, fridge, etc. running in the lab. Seppo will send his too, but cooling power may not be as good. Will decide which one is best. 3 undergrads, 3 grad students working away. E161 physics. Steve finding higher random rates (factor 5 or so) than Peter for open charm from 2 muons. Also, find W>1 has only small effect of open charm rate, while Peter (using PYTHIA instead of HERWIG), find a big effect. Need more detailed comparisons. Will need best possible timing. Thinking of use double layer of neutron bars, and with ADC's or multilevel TDC's. E160: Keith and students making good model of quasi-elastic production. Should work from threshold to high energy. Now staring on inelastic model. Haven't started on coherent yet. Neutrons: Stan and Peter calculated flux from SEQ. Need about 6' concrete. Have new TN on this. E160 students: Steve Guertin dropped out to work on STAR instead. Funding: Persis has been working on new funding. Has been requesting more information, for example who is funded by whom now. Also asked for list of conference talks on RPC experiments.
