E160 target: work continuing along at low level.

Funding: still no report from our CDR from Tim Thurston. State of
Virginia is in big financial trouble: will affect WM and UVa.
Need to write letters to Congress to increase funding for Office
of Science.

E161/E159 targets. SLAC plans detector tests for Linear Colidor.
For this need a 7T magent. Could the JLab 5^T target be useful?
Want about 10 by 10 cm by 1 cm.  New E161 magnet would certainly work. 
Don has a 6 T magent that might be useful, too.

E1159. Got 16 big lead glass blocks from Berekely. 

Compton Polarimeter. Tigran made progress on 

E160 simulations: students have gone home, but now Miao is here. 
Getting best possible fitss to all work J/psi elastic and inelastic
data. Miao is now trying a Color Singlet model. Run into problem
tht the two models fit data from HERA, but disagree by factors
of 5 or more down at E160 energies. So need to get the existing
low energy data into the fits (hard to obtain this data). 

E160 detectors. Outline finalized for middle and back planes. Bill
got outline drawing from Vahe for front plane. 

E160 theory: Ivanov arrived today: will be working on asymmetries
we can measure with linear polarizaiton.

Neutron bars: need to bring some to UVa or WM so don't get put
into Jlab experiment. Need to check them all out.
