Present: Don Crabb, Keith Griffioen, Bill Olson Budget for E160: Bill Olson plans to submit the current budget to the lab on Wednesday once several bugs in Microsoft Project are worked out. The present form gives estimates for everything, even though the money will come from different pots. Long lead-time items for the E161 target are being handled separately. Next Collaboration Meeting: Keith reports that 20 August seems acceptable for our next collaboration meeting, the Training Center has been reserved, and he will begin preparing an agenda. Spectrometer: Peter's new design for the beam pipe and small-angle shielding would require about 450 kg of tungsten. Bill Olson does not have numbers, but feels this will probably not break the budget. Peter and Keith took stock this week of the existing tubes for hodoscopes. Peter's preliminary design for re-use of existing hodoscopes from E155 requires only 45 pieces of scintillator to extend certain fingers. Technical note #18 (in progress) gives the specifics of the design, which is now converging. Compton Polarimeter: Bill wondered who is responsible for the polarimeter. Keith will contact Jeff Shaw to find out what progress UMass has made on this.
