Present: Don Crabb, Keith Griffioen, Ross Hicks, Steve Rock, John Weisend E160 Review: John reports that the E160 Preliminary Cost and Schedule Review went well, and that we are now in a position to come before the various safety committees, which should start soon. Radiation safety is on track. Schedule: John reports that installation of the photon beam line (AIP, Accelerator Improvement Project) is being planned for the summer of 2002 when BaBar will be down for 4-6 months. Because E158 will undoubtedly request an additional run, they would most likely run in January 2003, and E160 would start in late 2003 or early 2004. This is a delay of about a year from the working schedule. Keith mentioned the need for determining the compatibility of running E160 before E158 is finished so that it's possible to make an informed decision about scheduling. John remarked that since there will be no shielding changes between E158 and E160, the two experiments are more compatible than originally assumed. Collaboration Meeting: John agreed to speak on E160 target design, Ross is planning to talk on the Compton Polarimeter and on reasons why triplet electron detection is not viable for measuring linear polarization at SLAC. Don will lead a discussion on issues of E159/E161 targets. Spending: There is no information yet about long lead-time items, but by September there should be an answer about this. SLAC has put the microwave tubes into its proposal. When funding would be available is still a question.
