Minutes SLAC-ALTAS TDAQ Meeting 16-Nov-2006

Present: Stephen, Sarah, Su Dong, Rainer, Amedeo, Steffen


Stephen:

Working on test with Yiri (sp?).  Added the first couple in the
trigger release package.  Yiri set up the same framework that he uses
for the offline nightly build.  Had to make it ignore certain tests
when it runs the normal nightly because it doesn't have the athena MT
there.

Last week imported the nightly build.  PATH was too long.  Tried to
alleviate that with abbreviations and symlinks.


Sarah:

LST has only 400 nodes yet.  A little behind schedule.  Sarah got her
own node. So far have been able to start up dbproxy and connect to the
database.  For the tests they are using an SQLite file with the
geometry rather than connecting to the database.

There is an authentication problem preventing more tests with dbproxy.
Other progress from other groups with monitoring nodes etc.

CVS repository was moved.  Not an issue.  New location is
offline/databases.  Needs to be tagged.

Have put in a (formal) request for "atomicity".  Got a ticket for that
now.

Tau trigger integration with LVL2 and EF going on.  The goal is to run
the tau trigger with the tau slice in the LST.  Maybe even just the
LVL2 tau.

Current slices: e/gamma, jet.  


Amedeo:

Started working on the idea to expire entries automatically.  One
possibility would be to divide the memory into pages.

More efficient CPU-wise, but loses memory to the necessary alignment.


Steffen:

Will designate tdaq01 as disk server.  Uses local disk and statically
mount on all other nodes.  Additional disk from broken node could be
added as well.
